Unapologetically Becoming

Faith Takes Flight

Becoming One Butterfly at a Time

IMG_9146_edited.jpg

There comes a moment in life when you stop waiting for permission to become who God created you to be.

Unapologetically Becoming is a reflection of that moment.

The faceless figure represents every person who has wrestled with fear, doubt, comparison, or the expectations of others. Without facial features, she is intentionally left undefined, allowing the viewer to see themselves in the journey. Her outstretched hand reaches not to grasp or control, but to trust—to release what no longer serves her and embrace the purpose God has placed before her.

The monarch butterflies symbolize transformation through faith. They remind us that growth is not instant, but unfolds one season, one lesson, and one act of obedience at a time. Every butterfly represents another step toward becoming the person God intended long before the world had an opinion.

This piece is deeply personal to me. It represents my decision to stop asking for permission to use the gifts God entrusted to me. It is about choosing purpose over fear, authenticity over approval, and faith over uncertainty.

As I continue to evolve as an artist and as a woman of faith, I am learning that becoming isn't about arriving at perfection. It's about saying "yes" to the journey God has designed for me, even when I cannot see the entire path.

This painting is my declaration that I will live in that purpose—boldly, faithfully, and unapologetically.

Faith takes flight.

One butterfly at a time.
